of the
OKLAHOMA ASSOCIATION OF DIRECTORS OF MISSIONS

ARTICLE I - NAME
The name of this organization shall be: "Oklahoma Associational Directors of Missions" (OKADOM)
ARTICLE II –PURPOSE (Updated 22 March 2022)
To provide opportunities for Fellowship, Information and Training focused primarily on cooperative efforts between the Churches, Associations and Oklahoma Baptists through
- Coordination in events and initiatives
- Clear and timely communication
- Collaborative efforts in our cooperation
ARTICLE III - MEMBERSHIP
The active Oklahoma Directors of Missions and their Associate Directors of Missions shall comprise the membership. Retired Directors of Missions are honorary members.
ARTICLE IV – MEETINGS
The organization, under the direction of the officers, shall meet at any time approved by the organization. The officers may, when deemed necessary, call a special meeting.
ARTICLE V – CONTRIBUTIONS
Voluntary membership contribution amounts for the forthcoming year shall be determined annually by the organization at the August meeting.
ARTICLE VI - OFFICERS
The organization shall have a President, First Vice President, Second Vice-President, and Secretary /Treasurer, each of whom will serve a one year term. The president cannot succeed himself in office after serving a full term. New officers are to be elected at the August meeting and will take office immediately following the Oklahoma Baptists Annual Meeting. Annually, the First Vice-President will serve as President-elect, and Second Vice-President will serve as First Vice-President-elect, unless it is impossible for either of them to serve in the forthcoming year. Elected officers who retire may complete their term while in retirement, but no retiree may be elected to office or cast a vote.
ARTICLE VII – COMMITTEES
The President shall appoint members to any special committee(s) or individual liaisons, at any meeting.
ARTICLE VIII - AMENDMENTS
This constitution may be amended by a two-thirds majority vote of members present at any meeting. Suggested amendments are to be mailed or emailed to the active membership at least 30 days prior to said meeting.

1. Officers:
a. The President shall preside at all meetings, assisted by the First and Second Vice-Presidents. He shall also serve as an ex-officio member of all committees. Anyone serving less than six months as President is eligible for re-election. In case the office of President or Vice-president is vacated, it shall be filled by succession.
b. The First and Second Vice-Presidents shall carry out duties as assigned by the President.
c. The Secretary/Treasurer shall keep minutes of the annual sessions and shall conduct the financial affairs of the organization.
d. Terms of Office for President and Vice-Presidents shall be one year. The Secretary/Treasurer may be elected to an unlimited number of one year terms.
2. Committees:
a. An Executive Committee shall be composed of the officers the two most recent available past presidents. This committee shall aid in planning and promoting the meetings of the organization and bring a nomination for 2nd Vice President to an OKADOM meeting.
b. Special Committees shall be appointed, as needed, by the President and shall be disbanded at the completion of their assigned task.
3. Amendments:
